Asalu Akinbola, the co-founder of Unigram (http://unigram.co) told Nigeria CommunicationsWeek that the website is fundamentally for University Students, both undergradutes and postgraduates, to express how they feel about their establishments and potentially let others think about their courses, school environment and lecturers.
Akinbola said, “Unigram.co is basically a university and lecturer rating system where user sign up to comment about their universities and rate as well based on a particular criteria set by us.
“The users are required to sign up anonymously to rate and make comments about universities and lecturers.
“Ratings are based on Facilities, Accommodation and Security, Quality of Education, Research and Innovation for Universities while for Lecturers, ratings are based on Attendance, Quality of Teaching, Student Engagement/Communication, Teaching Methods and knowledge of Curriculum. Users who cannot find Lecturers on the website can manually add lecturers on the platform”.
He added that the objective of Unigram is to help prospective students and parents know about the university they are applying to and know from undergraduates how the school works.
“It also helps current students know about lecturers that would teach them in the future and how to handle them”, he added.
