Partner Mobile, a mobile phone brand, has raised the alarm over the influx of cancerous phones into the country, adding that the devices are shipped to densely populated markets of Lagos and Kano.
Akintola Olusola, chief technology officer, Partner Mobile, urged the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to do more in the area of monitoring the phones that come into the country.
Olusola, who spoke at the unveiling of Evolution 1, EV1, into the market, said a lot of devices come into the country that is harmful to health because of the radiation they emit.
He said the radiation from some of these mobile phones could cancerous do harm to the human body system.
Speaking on the launch of the new smartphone, Akintola said he is confident that the new smartphone will delight smartphone users, considering its stylish design, Al Triple camera, quality and pricing.
He added that the device runs on Android 9 pie operating system and comes with face and fingerprint sensors, water resistant features, ground-breaking innovations in display, camera and performance.
