‎Recent statistics released at Digital Marketing Unboxed 1.0 shows that active internet users in Nigeria have leapt to 98.1 million, representing a 54.7% penetration rate.

Of these numbers, over 70 million users regularly connect to the internet through their mobile devices.

This according to Daniel Iyam, the Team Lead for Reach360 a Creative Digital Marketing Agency is disrupting the digital marketing framework.

“Brands and businesses cannot ignore the growth of mobile in their overall digital marketing strategy. Responsive is the new buzz word in digital marketing. If your website or email designs aren’t responsive across different mobile devices, you stand the chance of not getting the best out of your digital marketing effort.”

‎He also pointed out that new Google algorithms have reduced the search page ranking strength for websites that aren’t mobile responsive.

Speaking further at the event, Iyam identified marketing through wearable technology as the next big thing in the digital mobile space.
