The Association of Professional Party Organisers and Event Managers of Nigeria (APPOEMN) at its recent 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) adopted its new constitution and elected new executives to pilot their affairs for the next two (2) years.
The transition took place with the introduction of Gbemisola Ope as the President of association.
Funke Bucknor passed the baton to Gbemisola Ope after two years of outstanding service.
While accepting to lead the association, the Ope said “I am excited about taking APPOEMN to the next level. It will not be easy, it will be gradual and it will be a lot of fun. But with your support I know it can and will be done”.
The new executive have the mandate of the association to work assiduously to propagate the ideas of the association, develop and maintain standards while accommodating all stakeholders.
In a statement made available to Nigeria CommunicationsWeek by Emeka Achebe-Okosieme, PRO/Corporate Affairs Director, shows that Adefunke Kuyoro was elected the vice president; Kemi Remi-Dairo, secretary; Titi Moritiwon Ezeagwula, finance/treasury director; Ajibola Olatomirin-Richards, education director; Kehinde Onabinajo Iyiola, creative/event director; Taiwo Olamide Ajao, logistics director and Joke Odunowo, the welfare/hospitality director.
“This is the dawn of a new era in the event industry in Nigeria. APPOEMN is focused on providing you, our valued members, with the tools and resources to take your business to the next level.
“Becoming an APPOEMN member means that you’ve taken a step in the right direction to tap into the power of an already established community of successful entrepreneurs and the platform to raise your voice to affect change and influence within the business community.
“Your dues payment has been received and you are now entitled to all the benefits and privileges of membership.
“As we begin what I hope is a long and rewarding relationship, I encourage you to take an active role in the programs of the association at both the national and chapter level”, the Association said.
